What has kept me going through all of this is sewing, blogging and reading sewing blogs. I want to thank, Omega, Lisa H, Carolyn and especially Faye. I check your blogs frequently. Faye thanks to you I now have perfect fitting slacks. Since Monday I've made six pairs of slacks--one muslin, three pretests and two finished pair! The photo of your slacks looked so good it made me want the same.

The jacket I recently finished matches the pants.
I'm also working on the muslin for Butterick 5138. Since sewing keeps my mind off of my plight, I expect to have the blouse done in a few days and then it's on to other projects. I might have cancer but I still gotta look good! In the meantime you all keep on blogging but remember...don't feel sorry for me because I have a wonderful life!
God continue to bless you with that wonderful life! I won't feel sorry for you, but I will hold you dear in my prayers! You are amazing. You made 6 pair of pants - oh my goodness. I've got to get off my butt and get busy. I need to catch up with you.
ReplyDeleteHi Knitmachinequeen,
ReplyDeleteI came across your site via Faye Sewing Adventures. First, I would like to say you will be okay and with much prayer and being blessed your life will continue to be fulfilled many years to come.
WoW! 6 slacks... now I know your needles were definitely smoking. The slacks look great and paired with the matching jacket you are working that suit.
Oh, what awful news! You will be in my prayers constantly. My sister-in-law got news of cancer in her lung just a few weeks ago & has since had surgery & God is bringing her trough her situation too. What an amazing women you are, my goodness you've been busy and your jacket turned out great. Makes me feel like a slacker girl!!
ReplyDeleteSew on Girl! GOD is an awesome God. I just stumbled across your blog while visiting Fayes. I too will keep you in prayer. New Caddi or not I think a brick would have worked just fine after the day you had :)
