Thursday Thoughts 4/28/2011

  • My breast surgery is scheduled for Monday morning at 8:45.
  • My knee is killing me. As soon as possible I want to schedule the replacement.
  • I currently have a "weather knee".  I can tell when it's going to rain by my knee pain! LOL
  • I'm still jammin' to old Aretha Franklin tunes.
  • I can't believe I bought two McCall's patterns at Walmart. I didn't want to have to wait for the Joann's sale.
  • I just caught a look at myself in the mirror...I am tore up from the floor up!
  • I could watch Sling Blade with Billy Bob Thornton a billion times and not tire of it. He wrote, directed and starred in it.
  • I love Turner Classic Movie channel.
  • My mom and I are getting along better than we ever have. We spent three hours on the phone Sunday and two hours today. I hope it lasts.
  • Yesterday at the job I don't think I did a single thing right! I had a terrible day to say the least.
  • I've been selling the cards I make.
  • Don't forget to follow, leave a comment and mention on your blog for a chance to win a set of sewing themed cards. You have until midnight EST. I'll announce the winner some time tomorrow.

  1. I found myself singing along with the Queen of Soul this morning when she was on the View. She is such an icon and I am such a fan.

Good luck on your surgery. Your Thursday thoughts sound pretty good to me.

  4. I hope your surgery goes of without a hitch! And I too know a little about the tumultuous relationship between a Mom and Daughter. Hope things continue to be smooth. All the best to you:)

  5. Sling Blade is one of my top 3 favorite movies. Not only do I own the DVD, I also will watch it whenever it comes on HBO or Showtime.

  6. Praying that your surgery goes well. And I do the same thing buying patterns at Walmart instead of waiting for the sale at JoAnns.

  7. Good luck with the surgery. My mother had it done and it was incredibly painful for her and took her a long time to recover. But now that she is recovered, you can't find her, She is always out and about taking advantage of her handicapped sticker!

  8. Praying that your surgery is quick and that you recover from it ease. I'm a big Turner Movie Classics fan myself. Sling Blade was a good one. That's right, forget about golf and bowling - get that knee fixed. My Mom and I can talk long hauls on the phone too, we even surf the net together via telephone.
