Pretty in plaid

I don't know why everybody at my job is so eager to wear jeans to work. We can only do so on certain occasions. Well Wednesday is special--for some reason. Not only are we supposed to wear jeans, we're supposed to wear plaid too! Me, in plaid...say it ain't so. The pattern is McCalls 6122.

Actually I like it a lot and it's extremely comfortable. Call me a plaid convert!

I made my usual wide back adjustment and FBA. As part of my FBA I added a horizontal bust dart at the side seam.

FYI I never leave home without my sunglasses or a purse that matches my outfit. A diva's gotta do what a diva's gotta do! You can read the full review at Pattern Review

  12. Hello! I just found your blog. What a great shirt, the fit is *perfect* and the colour suits you too.

Your earlier post with the pickled jalapenos got me really excited. I thought it was okra, lol. My mom used to pickle okra. I live in the UK now and, of course, don't see much okra of any kind.

  16. You are pretty in anything, and this plaid is great on you! I need to have you come to help me draft some patterns for me. I don't sew for myself because I'm terrified of not being able to fit myself. Little kids are easy!

  18. Beautiful! I love it. Now I need to get my hands on that pattern! Can you post more about your wide back alteration? I suspect I need that. I have trouble with patterns and RTW pulling at about shoulderblade level.
