What was I thinking?

Thursday night I planned what I was going to sew Friday morning. I planned on whipping up a twin-set made out of some Slinky I found at Walmart for only $2.44 a yard. I cut the pattern before going to bed. First thing this morning I was up and at the sewing machine. What in the hell was I thinking?

There is absolutely not way I can just "whip up" a garment out of fabric that has to be matched at the side seams, center back (which I omitted), front bands and armholes. It got on my nerves so badly I just had to put it down and walk away. As I refuse to have any UFO's around, I'll be back at it again tomorrow!

  1. Not only does it have to be matched but it's also slinky! I love the shades of green however. It will make a great twin set. How are you?

  2. We all experience such things. And, sometimes it is best to walk away for a while, and let the mind settle down. Hope you are feeling well.

  3. You made me do a walmart run today - shame on you. I know what you are going through, been there done that!

  4. Nice blog and site with lovely garments. You are truly talented. I just came upon your blog and site for the 1st time today. Sorry to hear that you've been receiving treatment and hope that all is well real soon.

BTW - I visited Flint once..and have umpteen cousins there and the Detroit area (and who knows where else?.

  5. I've done that too, many times...Oh well LOL.
I just nominated you for the "Attitude of Gratitude Award!" How are you doing? I hope you are coming along well!
