Fruit of my Memorial Weekend Sewathon Part I

Don't faint...I'm finally posting a review pictures. I will say I fell short of my 7 garment goal. I had every intention of sewing when I got out of church Sunday but the weather put a damper on that. I spent most of the evening huddled in the laundry room. There were all sorts of tornado and severe storm warnings out. On Monday my husband decided he needed my undivided attention so that day too was a bust. I did sew on Tuesday and am really happy with the five garments I did get made--all dresses.

Vogue 1179

Pattern Description:

Very loose-fitting, pullover dress, above mid-knee length, has pleated front cowl collar and wide stitched hem.
Pattern Sizing:
6-22 I cut a size 16 at the neck and armhole and at the side seam gradually out to a size 20.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I think so. What do you think

Were the instructions easy to follow?
So easy even a caveman could follow them.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this pattern. It's been reviewed 21 times on PatternReview.com
Fabric Used:
Matte Jersey from Denver Fabrics.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The only alteration I made was to add 2" to the length. That was a first for me. I always have to make detailed alterations on my patterns.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Would I sew it again...already have

Conclusion:
This dress is so comfortable and stylish. It can be dressed up or down just by changing your jewelry and shoes. If you don't already have this pattern run, don't walk, to your nearest Vogue retailer!

  2. I know that I have pulled that pattern out of the drawer and put it back 1,179 times (no just kidding, but it has been quite a few times). After seeing your versions, V1179 is going back on the list. All of yours are wonderfully beautiful, and the pink one makes your look like a baby doll.
