Just wanted to share my latest haul from Salvation Army. Yes, it does include sewing related stuff.

  1. Great haul - nothing like some great vintagey fabric.

  5. The lining looks like Bemberg rayon. You can do a burn test to see if it's rayon. If it is, then you got a very good deal because Bemberg easily retails from $6 - $10 per yard.

  7. You got some good stuff. I have more success with patterns than fabric at thrift stores. Love the bold print and the patterned (maroon and white looking) fabric! Nice haul!

  8. Great finds, I love thrift stores, but there only one near me (SA) and there are several Goodwills within a ten mile radius that I frequent but hardly any fabric.

  9. That's a good SA with all that fabric! The SA here just opened a new shop, you have inspired me to check it out soon!

  10. "I watch Hoarders, and that keeps me from bringing all those sewing machines home." HAHAHAHA! I have to physically restrain my husband from buying every sewing machine we see. We've found a couple of keepers, but he is like a little puppy, finding sewing things he thinks I'll like and dragging me over to look at them. Because some of the items have been real treasures, I try to encourage him as much as possible, but my new thrifting mantra is "No more sewing machines."

  11. Great video. I really enjoyed seeing your haul. I never, ever see fabric at a thrift store. Good for you!
