A sneak peek at McCalls 6112

First to my utter dismay, I didn't lose the 1.6 lbs I was hoping for--instead I lost 3. Yipppppeeeee! My goal was to be down 20 lbs by my birthday next Monday and I have exceeded that by 1.4 lbs. So here's a peek at my "I lost 20 lbs" dress.

As you can see the stones are just pinned on. Keep 'em or get rid of 'em??

  1. Congrats on your over 20 lbs. down!!! I'm down 12 1/2 with another 12 1/2 to go - wheeee it's hard work too. I vote keep the stones.

  2. I vote to lose the stones. I think the skirt is busy enough and you can dress the garment up with jewelry.

  3. I'm on the fench about the stones, try it with a necklace and then decide, either way you will be a knockout, congrats on your weight loss.

  7. Congrats on your accomplishment!!! You'll look great in your cute outfit. I have the same fabric and since it's sooooo vibrant it probably wouldn't hurt to forgo the stones:)

  8. Outstanding! I know it might seem different to you, but to me it seems that you've lost that extra weight fast! Well done!

This dress is going to look great on you, I kind of like the stones. But I can see what most are saying, it can look great without, and you can just jazz it up with jewellery from time to time.

  10. Keep the stones, they balance the busy base of the skirt. If you do decide to take them off, sting the stones together into a long necklace.
