The downside of losing weight

For the most part, losing weight is a good thing but nobody really talks about the downside. Since starting Weight Watchers at the first of June, I am down 18.4 lbs. Yippeee! My short-term goal is to lose 20 lbs by my birthday--August 16th. My doctor and Weight Watchers would like me to lose 30 more. We'll see. I really don't want to start looking like a crack addict or anything. So what is the downside of losing weight? Well, a picture is worth a thousand words:

Did I mention I hate to do alterations??? None of the slacks I made during my Goldilocks pants projects fits anymore. On the upside, everything I made last summer fits again. Only problem is I think I made more garment during the winter than I did during the summer. So right now I am having a sewing quandary. To sew or not to sew, that is the question.

  1. I read your blog, but haven't written a comment. I say Kudos to you for getting to your goal. I know it is a pain to do alterations, but you can sew some new outfits. I was watching TV and a stylist said that it is probably a good idea to wear knits as transitional clothing while you are losing weight. Which makes sense because if you gain or lose weight, knits will go with the adjustment. Good for you, and it gives you an excuse to purchase more fabric.

  5. Well done you! You are looking great so out the window with the down side.

I'm like Gwensews, wishing I could have that downside myself. Keep up the good work. I would say sew for even a smaller size than you are right now for even more inspiration :D
