I went totally Goth with my nail polish, accessories, and lipstick. Why did I even have this color lipstick? The more I look at it the more I like it!
Guess I shouldn't chew gum while being photographed.
The only alterations I made on the pattern were adding 1" to the front and back bodice and a "cheater" FBA by simply adding 1" to the center front gradually blending back to the side seam.
This dress was quick and easy and a different style to add to my wardrobe. I don't think I'll make it again but you never know!
This is so so so pretty, I love the black accents, the stones too. I like the little pocket on the sides too. Fabulous darling! :D
ReplyDeleteI had to go and look at the pattern and I still can't believe you made this gorgeous dress from that pattern. I love that you used two different fabrics. I love that you added the jeweled embellishment at the neck. And I'm jealous that you found the perfect belt for it...especially the belt part because i haven't used one of them in years! *LOL*
ReplyDeleteThat dress rocks
ReplyDeleteThe dress, looks gorgeous! You look so cool!
ReplyDeleteWow - this dress is so stunning! Those stones are PERFECT and the skirt fabric is GORGEOUS. My, you are looking GOOD! I never gave this pattern a glance but your version is so inspirational I think I may have to get it.

ReplyDeleteSuper cute, and you were right to trust your instincts and go with the stones they look great and so do you.
ReplyDeleteYour dress turned out cute indeed! And glad you didn't listen to the "nay-sayers" and used the stones because they turned out lovely (wink)! Like Eugenia said, I never paid much attention to this pattern either. Thanks for shining a light on it:)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the weight loss! You look very nice in this dress! I'm glad you kept the stones (sorry I missed that post!) I never saw this pattern before and I agree, you made it work!!!
