Slight detour

I know I'm supposed to be working on my jeans but I took a slight detour today. I haven't knit on any of my machines for nearly a year. I dug up some Lion Brand Magic Stripes yarn. By machine it only takes about 40 minutes per sock. I wrote the pattern a few years ago and knit it on the Passap E6000. I did cut the denim today and hope to start sewing tomorrow after I finish the second sock!

  2. BTW, I've been using my little scissors that you gave me as a bridesmaid gift while I've been doing the scherenschnittes (paper cutting).

  3. I'm impressed! I hand-knit socks. Love to do it! But now--do you machine=knit socks in the round somehow, or do they have a seam?

  4. Awesome, it only took me weeks to finish a pair 40 minutes, makes me want a knitting machine but there's no way I could afford one.

  5. I've always wondered if you don't have to know how to knit to operate a knitting machine. I think they are very cool.

  6. You don't have to know how to hand knit to machine knit but once I learned to machine knit, I better understood hand knitting. The ribbing of the socks is knit flat and have to be seamed once the sock is finished. After the ribbing it is manipulated in a way that allows the remainder to be knit in the round. It is very fascinating if I must say so myself.

  7. oh my! socks in 40 minutes. You deserve being called Queen. I have seen knitting machines, but they seem pretty complicated to me. I would love to look into this more. Just think, my stash would diminish faster, if only I could knit faster♥

  10. Wow, you do socks as well! I absolutely LOVE socks. If I knew how to do this on a knitting machine, I'd have no time for blogging whatsoever. :D
