I'm really getting the hang of transferring my personal figure variation to commercial patterns. I lengthend the back crotch my adding to the crotch point and adding a 1 1/2" wedge to the back. I'm pretty satisfied with them.
I really like the pocket detail as I've become obsessed with pockets lately. I didn't much stick to the instructions and was a bit perturbed that the there are 13 pattern pieces! The contoured band is very comfortable with no gaping in the back. I don't think I'll make them again as the finished pant leg is 31" wide of which the style may not be around much longer.
Next pair up is either Simplicity 2860 or Vogue 7881.
Those pants look terrific on you. It would be hard to find that good a fit in RTW. I loveyour hair curly too! Very flattering.
ReplyDeleteThese are too cute on you! I love the pairing with the pink blouse. I agree with you that's way too many pattern pieces. You picked a great pattern!
ReplyDeleteGreat pants, love the detail on the pocket.
ReplyDeleteGreat fit! Those pockets are super cute.
ReplyDeleteA Simplicity pants pattern has 13 pieces?!! Great pants and very nice pocket detail.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking pants! Looking fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe pants look good on you. I like the pocket detail.
ReplyDeleteThe only part about pants with pockets are the extra pieces. Between the pockets, facings, waistbands, etc. - it all adds up. Your pair of pants look so nice, I'm sure it was worth the hassle!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic!! You've done a great job making the pattern work for you. The pocket detail is wonderful. I really don't like having lots of little pieces to cut out either.
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful in your ensemble. I am loving the pockets. I really need to start working on pants
ReplyDeleteGreat looking pants. Oh..., I need to test drive this one. Thanks for the inspiration.
