I don't normally do an end of month recap but I think I like the idea. I did manage to finally get everything moved, got the old house rented and am now all settled into wedded bliss. Of course my new husband moved the majority of my things so other than most of my sewing stuff and my clothes, I don't know where anything is! On the sewing front, I worked on pant fitting and sewed 5 pairs of slacks with only one being a wadder. I also sewed one jacket, and two blouses, but best of all I covered a pair of shoes with fabric! I've had the idea in my head for quite some time but never got around to trying it. What do you think? Drop me a line and let me know! I absolutely love them.
Fabric covered shoes. WHAT!!!! Impressive.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful!! I saw an article in a Threads magazine a few months ago about covering your shoes in fabric, but I think your results look nicer. What did you use to give them that great shine?
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!!! They look awesome. How did you get that shine. I would love details on how you covered your shoes. I saw the threads article too a couple of months ago, but yours are definitely nicer.
ReplyDeleteOf course you love them! I stinkin' LOVE them!
ReplyDeleteLove those one of a kind shoes!
ReplyDeleteYou have to tell us how you did this!!!
ReplyDeleteVery Cool!! You will have to share your construction process and details. :-)
ReplyDeleteOpps....forgot to say...
ReplyDeleteWOW...you have been very busy...my goodness I wish I was getting done all that you have gotten done!!! I've been hung up on a home dec. project which is "FINALLY" done and am now working on some holiday decorations and pillows for my daughter. I am hoping to get to some "real" sewing soon.
SHUT UP! That is the most freaking awesome idea ever, you must do a tutorial soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea!!!! Your shoes look spectacular. I'd love to know how you did this. I'll hold off on throwing out my old shoes! LOL! BTW, I'm a bit late but congrats to you on your marriage and all the life changing events you've experienced as of late :)
ReplyDeleteDelectably gorgeous top and impressive shoes! Very clever way to give new life to shoes. Too cool!
ReplyDeleteI really like this. I have a question about it. Do you think it would be possible to do this with a sequined or weird fabric like that? My 3-year-old just outgrew her favorite ruby slippers and I'd love to make her a pair that fits.
