Another Maxi

How in the world did I ever miss sewing this pattern?

Photo

I decided I wanted a fast and easy project and this certainly fit the bill. I made a 1" FBA and rotated it to the bottom of the bodice as gathers. I also changed the pattern dart to gathering. It worked out perfectly! Other than an FBA I added two inches to the length and omitted the elastic at the waist. Not sure what purpose the elastic served but I made an executive decision to leave it off.

The fabric is from Fabric. com. It has 4-way stretch. I used it sideways to showcase the border print. I cut two front bodices trying to get a perfectly centered design, but failed miserably on both parts. Other sewers  may notice it but probably no one else. From start to finish it only took about two hours. This is a sure winner and I'm wondering why it took me so long to try it.
