Butterick 5401 Finale - picture heavy

The coat is finally finished and I absolutely love it! It took a little over a week to complete and was well worth the effort.

Fleece sleeve heads.


Triple zig-zag stitched taped roll line.


Sleeve seam matching perfectly back side seam. The pattern only had a one-piece sleeve-I converted it to a two-piece sleeve using Threads December 1991/January 1992 issue.



I added this faux belt for some extra styling.




Lining fabric.


Finished notched collar.


This button is from my stash. It measures 1 3/8."


I rounded the front corners at the hem to match the rounded collar.

    I love it! Such a wonderfully dressy winter coat and you make it seem so effortless too. If it wasn't so late in my southern winter season I'd copy that baby. Enjoy wearing!
