- Today I finally put the finishing touches on Butterick 5600. Yay I promise to have pictures in the next couple of days. I had to purchase additional buttons that's why no pictures now.
- I've already cut out my next project...another dress!
- Happy birthday to me. Although my birthday isn't until the 16th of next month I picked up my present today...a 2011 Buick LaCrosse.
- I loved my 2008 Cadillac CTS but there were no 2011's available with keyless entry. The keyless entry was a deal-breaker for me. I hate digging in my purse for my keys.
- I hate new car smell...it gives me a headache.
- I didn't get any sewing done yesterday because my brother and SIL came for a visit.
- My brother and husband get along so well and are so much alike.
- I called my brother by my husband's name about 50 times!
- I love my SIL to death.
- I want to go on a fabric shopping trip...like I need more fabric.
- I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Crackle nail polish and have been wearing it every day.

I like the look of 5600. You must be the only sewer in blogland who needs more fabric!
ReplyDeleteYour birthday present sounds awesome! I love new car smell, but I can't remember the last time I smelled it...probably better that way because it would be lost in a second with the food madness, beach "treasures", and sweaty skateboarding equipment left to bake in the hot sun year round. I gotta laugh just thinking about some of the smells I've had to find a remedy for! Oh the seasons of life...
ReplyDeleteWell happy early birthday to you! :)
ReplyDeleteI will have to try that nail polish.
We love crackle polish over here lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm making another version of B5600 because my first one doesn't have enough buttons on it...so I totally get the button thing.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the early birthday gift! Enjoy it!
Lastly, I sooooo understand the need to fabric shop...you should come to NYC at the end of August for the PR NYC shopping date. I think we are going to hit some of the best shops in the garment district and I can guarantee that we would solve your fabric issues! *LOL* Seriously, you should come!
i enjoy reading all your musings. I like the new crackle nail polish, too, but I haven't gotten up the nerve to try it yet. I'm not sure I am stylish or sophisticated enough to pull it off. Maybe I'm just too old! I may try it soon though, just to see.
